I finally recorded two new songs after taking a short 2-year break! It reminded me how actually not that hard it is, and how I should try to do creative projects more often...

I was introduced to this band and this song by Chris. The kids really like it.

Who Will Sing Me Lullabies?

Well, I recorded this song even though I don't feel like I have a whole lot to contribute in the way of differences or improvements (couldn't ever possibly improve on Kate Rusby's voice, that's for sure) because it is a sleepy song that I sing to the kids at bedtime, and I feel like I should document some of that for them for when I'm dead and gone, in case they need their mommy. That sounds darker than I meant it to.

Watercolor Cards

Here are 16 watercolor and ink cards that I made in 2005. I just found them tucked away in my computer. They were originally on the front of notecards, which I then must have scanned. I don't know where any of the originals are.

Cyclopsy v.2

Ama has done it again! This is the new and improved Cyclopsy she designed and asked me to make. It took a long time to get around to putting it together, but I finally did and it turned out great! The two major improvements to the original Cyclopsy design are 1) this one has hair! and 2) this one is filled with rice instead of stuffing, so that you can warm it up in the microwave on a cold winter night and it makes a hot snuggly sleeping buddy! Great ideas both, Ama! She has aptly named this baby "Future."

Ruffie the Monster 12-11

This is a crocheted monster that I made for my mom for a holiday present. The adults in my family did a themed gift exchange with a maximum dollar value of $7.50. The theme was rough and black. I bought a skein of black acrylic yarn and a thrift store sweater with buttons that I used for the eyes. I used the rest of the sweater for stuffing. I spent about $3.75.

Ama and Cook named him Ruffie, and we took a picture so that we could always remember him after we'd given him away. We love you Ruffie!!

I gave these paintings to Danni for a gift. The experiment was to make them fit together no matter what configuration you put them in, side to side, the other side to side, top to bottom, or the other top to bottom. This way, they will fit into many different spaces, and make a different completed "picture" depending on how you hang them. Here are the four ways they fit together:
